IMF is associated with the UIAA and supports, promotes. and regulates national and international climbing! and mountaineering in India (International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation). What Makes It So Outstanding Indian mountaineering foundation
The Indian Mountaineering Foundation's (IMF) artificial rock climbing wall. It is situated uphill on Benito Juarez Marg. is an excellent spot to test your strength and endurance. while learning a new skill.
The strong energy surrounding the IMF is the first thing that strikes you. There are serious climbers. who make it appear easy to newbies. who are completely awestruck, and instructors who encourage everyone. The encouraging yells and pleasant remarks helped me 'get a hold' as I pushed myself to new heights. gasping and puffing the whole way.
Climbers can test themselves on four walls in the IMF's outdoor setup. Beginners should start with the beginner's wall. which includes closely spaced markers or hooks to make climbing easier. Following that, the climber progresses to the intermediate wall. which is steeper and requires more strength.
The speed wall puts a person's speed and climbing skills to the test, and it takes a lot of practice to get to. Then there's the lead wall. which is based on the concept of leadership climbing. in which the climber hooks themselves onto specific markers and climbs without assistance. This wall simulates real-life climbing. It's fun to watch the expert climbers accomplish. it (they're literally dangling as if hanging off the edge).
Climbing is available at the IMF from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ( All Day in a Week ) for INR 300 per person each session.
For a minimum of 30 individuals. The IMF also offers group activities like tyre bridges, commando nets, and rope ladders. Make a call ahead of time to schedule your appointment. It's almost a requirement.
